The Pew Environment Group

The Pew Environment Group is the conservation arm of The Pew Charitable Trusts, a non-governmental organization headquartered in the United States that applies a rigorous, analytical approach to improving public policy, informing the public and stimulating civic life.

The Pew Environment Group advocates for strong policy solutions to address:

• the dramatic changes to the Earth's climate brought about by the increasing concentration of greenhouse gases in the planet's atmosphere
• the erosion of large wilderness ecosystems that contain a great part of the world's remaining biodiversity; and
• the destruction of the world's marine environment, with a particular emphasis on global fisheries.
